OpenPeppol has officially published the TDD AE 1.0.0 specification in collaboration with UAE authorities. The release enables service providers to implement and test the Tax Data Document, a core requirement for real-time e-invoicing reporting to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).

Key Details of TDD AE 1.0.0 Publication

Official Release Date:

TDD AE version 1.0.0 was released on December 1, 2025, marking an important milestone in the UAE's Peppol-driven tax digitisation framework.

Purpose of the TDD:

The TDD enables structured transmission of invoice tax data, improving audit capabilities, compliance oversight, and real-time validation by the FTA.

Availability for Testing:

The specification will soon be available in the Peppol testbed, allowing Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) to trial real-time reporting flows.

Access to Documentation:

Documentation is available at UAE Tax Data Document specification as well as through the OpenPeppol technical post-award documentation portal.

Next Steps

ASPs are encouraged to begin implementation and validation against the TDD model and prepare for live production reporting under the UAE Peppol-based e-invoicing framework.
